Foster Care in the U.S.: Life Skills Assessment

The assessment enables program advisors, social workers, volunteers and counselors to determine a young person’s strengths, weaknesses and areas where efforts and resources can best be utilized. The assessment takes time to complete. Once finished, the assigned counselor, social worker, advisor or counselor will go over the assessment with the youth in detail and outline key areas of focus based on the youth’s answers.
